Greek Islands of Cyclades

Cyclades are group of islands in the Aegean Sea in Greece. It is a collection of a group of 220 islands namely Amorgos, Anafi, Andros, Antiparos and some being the major islands of Cyclades. So you can imagine how many tourists visit these islands. There are numerous places to have fun here.

Amorgos:

It is a rocky mountainous island. This island is a source of ancient remains like coins, rock inscriptions that belong to Minoan and Hellenistic times. You can reach this island through a boat journey. This beautiful island has been recently seeing increase in the number of visiting customers and by all means it is expected thanks to its natural beauty.

Anafi:

It is a hilly island of Cyclades. Though not modern, its beaches are really worth visiting. This island derives draws livelihood and also fishing.

Andros:

It is also known as the Woody Island of Cyclades. This island has many watch towers right from the period of Venetian rule. Love beaches, already there are many in Cyclades and here you will find Nimborio, Paraporti, and Korthi Bay near Batsi, Gavrion and Vitali. So take your family and enjoy the beaches!!!

Ios:

Another hilly island in Cyclades, it is known mostly for few buildings like Hellenistic Tower, an aqueduct at Ayia Theodoti, traces of an ancient temple at Psathi, a ruinous Venetian castle Palaeiokastro and the Hellenistic tower at Plakotos. People can enjoy a lot in this island.

Santorin:

If you are planning to visit Santorin, then listen, you can visit it by sea and then entering the crater from the northwest. You can enjoy the rock walls as you travel across along with beautiful green slopes in the central basin.

Sacred Lake:

In the islands of Delos, one can find the sacred lake which is oval in shape. To the west of the lake one can find the Naxian marble, to the north one can find the Old and the New Palaistra. To the northeast are the sanctuaries of Heros Archegates and in the northwest one can find the Gymnasion and the Stadion. So surely you will be not be left with any boring side here.

Cyclades has so many things to offer for its ever hungry tourists. The flights rates to these islands is also not so high, so think about another holiday destination, when you have something really good like what you have here!
